As Samuel traverses the Wild West with a drunkard named Parson Henry (David Zellner) and a miniature horse called Butterscotch, their once-simple journey grows treacherous, increasingly blurring the lines between hero, villain and damsel. Amy Cunningham, death educator, leads this presentation of cremation's history and its impact on present-day and future funerals. This engaging and sometimes even light-hearted exploration will also touch on how to choose an end-of-life mode of disposition that expresses your own beliefs and values. Afterward, you will have the opportunity to visit the crematory with Gema LaBoccetta, Green-Wood's Crematory Manager, then chat with Amy and other attendees at a short reception.

Beyond traditional theater or standup comedy, Mainstages are a community event where entertainment and enlightenment merge. Since each story is true and every voice authentic, each show is a unique and intimate experience for the audience. Launched in 1997, The Moth showcases inspiring and professional storytellers at hundreds of shows, workshops, and special events throughout the United States.

As summer comes into full swing, it is time to bid adieu to Morbid Anatomy's exhibition The Power of Images: Life, Death, and Rebirth. Join us to celebrate the successful run of this exhibition with a festive garden party that includes an opportunity to meet Morbid Anatomy's creators Joanna Ebenstein and Laetitia Barbier, as well as artists and collectors who contributed to the show. Whether they are liberated by their creativity or imprisoned by government contractors, the protagonists of these short films are real and they are your neighbors.
