The Green-Wood Cemetery is internationally recognized as one of the most beautiful and historic cemeteries in the world. Established in 1838, it is one of only a handful of American cemeteries that have been designated a National Historic Landmark. Green-Wood has a long tradition of memorialization, serving as the final resting place for over 570,000 individuals and providing a peaceful place of remembrance and reflection for countless family members and friends.

If you do not have internet access, please call the Executive Office at 718-788-7850 during regular business hours. For all other questions about burials and memorials, please call our Administrative Office at 718-768-7300.
Please note that business hours for our Sales and Administrative Offices are 8am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. Our Executive Office is open 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
All offices of the Cemetery and Crematory are closed for business in observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Abraham Lincoln’s Birthday, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
