2018 Green-Wood Benefit

September 12, 2018, 6:00pm9:00pm

We hope you will join us at 6 PM on September 12, 2018 at the Eleventh Annual Gala in support of the future of Green-Wood.

As Green-Wood commemorates its 180th year, we are proud to present our bold vision for its future: an Education and Welcome Center, incorporating the newly restored Weir Greenhouse, and a new and inviting front landscape that will visually unite the Center with our historic grounds and make Green-Wood more welcoming to the community. Funds raised through this event will advance these exciting projects.

As one of New York City’s most beloved new cultural destinations, Green-Wood presents a unique trifecta of art, history and nature. Over a quarter million visitors come each year to stroll Green-Wood’s magnificent 478 acres and experience the abiding tranquility of this historic space.

Honorees
The DeWitt Clinton Award for Excellence this year honors Jamie Bernstein, Alexander Bernstein, and Nina Bernstein Simmons on the occasion of the centennial of the birth of their father, Leonard Bernstein. Indelibly imprinted with the energy and musicality of their legendary father, and the theatricality and activism of their mother, Felicia Cohn Monteleagre, the three siblings carry the Bernstein spirit and legacy into the twenty-first century. Their extraordinary achievements and passions range from music education, to literature, to social justice.

Questions? Please email lisa_alpert@green-wood.com. Contributions are fully deductible by law. The non-deductible portion of each ticket is $175.
