This page provides essential information regarding your ownership, voting eligibility, and how to manage your burial site.
A lot owner is an individual or individuals who hold the lawful right of interment in a burial site at The Green-Wood Cemetery, including a private lot, single grave, community mausoleum crypt, niche, lawn niche, or urn site. This ownership confers the right to use the space for burial purposes and, where applicable, to participate in certain governance matters, subject to the Cemetery’s Rules and Regulations and applicable New York law.

Verify Your Ownership (Required for Voting)

- Only verified lot owners may vote at the Annual Meeting.
- Each lot is entitled to one vote, and where there are multiple owners, a single representative must be designated

- Lot owners receive a report on the Cemetery’s operations and may vote on matters presented, subject to eligibility requirements.
