My grandfather back in the early 1900s he chewed tobacco and he tells of a story that your tobacco company had a song and it went like this Chewbrother chew there was three black crows set up in a tree one said to the other where shall we get some grub to eat the other said down yonder there has been an old cart horse, that had just been Slaine chew brother chew we will perch upon his old job bones and plucker his eyes out one one chew brother chew old daddy Grimes had a cow and had no barn that darn old cow would bunt him with her horns chew brother chew the devil thought by injured me by cuttingdown my apple tree, chew brother chew but he did not injury. Me I had apples all the fall chew brother chew he said they sung that tell that storekeeper finally give them free tobacco so they would leave and that was in the early 1900s and he taught me that song and I’m 87 years old and never forgot it
