In the heart of Green-Wood, a simple, iron gate leads into an underground structure few people ever see. Rarely open to the public, the Catacombs – built in the 1850s – are one of the cemetery’s most unknown spaces. They offered 19th-century New Yorkers an above-ground burial option, which proved to be very popular for those who feared being buried alive.

In the 21st-century, musicians love the unmatched acoustic quality of this unique studio of stone. Join Atlas Obscura and Green-Wood for the premiere of a series of curated concerts featuring artists specially selected to perform in this coveted setting. Without question, this will be New York City’s most unique musical experience.

To purchase tickets, visit Atlas Obscura’s website.
