Green-Wood Stormwater Project

Request for Proposals

The Green-Wood Cemetery is soliciting proposals from highly experienced and professional design consulting firms to design permeable pavers with underground storage at multiple locations in the 478-acre cemetery in Brooklyn, NY. The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYSEFC) has awarded the Cemetery funding for the design and construction of these permeable paver systems. Proposals must identify the necessary tasks and related costs to complete the design and preparation of permitted construction plans and specifications. All work must be in accordance with New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) regulations and New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) standards.

Bidders must complete the registration here to: (1) receive a link to a data room that contains additional existing property information; (2) be eligible for bid submission; and (3) receive addenda, updates, and responses to questions.

Inquiries and questions should be directed to Matt Rea at matthew.rea@tnc.org by January 2, 2026. Questions will be compiled, and answers will be issued as an addendum, which will be emailed to those who have completed the registration. Responses to questions will be sent to registered bidders on or before January 9, 2026. 

Submission Deadline: January 16, 2026, at 5:00pm. 

Submit proposals electronically via one (1) submission emailed to matthew.rea@tnc.org. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to all prospective bidders.

Important note: To ensure an ethical evaluation process, all inquiries or other communications regarding this RFP shall be exclusively directed to the authorized RFP contact identified above.  Bidders are hereby expressly instructed not to otherwise communicate with the Cemetery’s officers or employees regarding this RFP. This prohibition is also applicable to the bidder’s affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and subcontractors.
