June 20th , 10:00am – 12:00pm

Join us for a special kid-friendly trolley tour celebrating LGBTQ+ trailblazers who have left a lasting impact on American history and culture, led by one of Green-Wood’s experienced educators. You’ll visit the gravesites of Paul Jabara, co-writer of “It’s Raining Men;” Emma Stebbins, sculptor of the Angel of the Waters at Central Park’s Bethesda Fountain; and more as you explore queer history and memory together as a family. Experience the powerful stories of those who paved the way for future generations of LGBTQ+ leaders.

Offered as part of Green-Wood’s America250 celebration, this tour explores themes that reach beyond the Revolutionary War to examine the broader American experience. Through these stories, we reflect on how the struggle for liberty has shaped generations throughout American history and continues to influence our future.
