Day of the Dead Family Program
Discover the rich history and traditions associated with the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) through crafts and storytelling for families with kids of all ages. Celebrated throughout Mexico from October 31 to November 2, this holiday is time for family and friends to commemorate departed loved ones through prayer, altars, music, dance, and food.
Join us for Day of the Dead-themed art making activities led by Miguel Ayuso of La Bodega Studios and Evi Triantafyllides of Worldwide buddies, as well as a book reading of “A Marvelous Mexican Misunderstanding” in Spanish & English.
Book Reading (English): 4:00-4:30 PM
Book Reading (Spanish): 4:30-5:00 PM
Paper Craft: 4:00 – 5:00 PM
Mask Making 5:00-6:00 PM
