Battle of Brooklyn: Fought and Remembered

February 4, 2026 , 8:00am January 2, 2027 , 5:00pm

The Battle of Brooklyn: Fought and Remembered uses primary source material from CBH’s collection, including artifacts, archival documents, and rare maps to bring the summer of 1776 alive. The exhibition also explores how Brooklynites have remembered their borough’s Revolutionary War past with a look back at battle commemorations from the 19th and 20th centuries. By learning about Brooklyn’s monuments and meorials, visitors can reflect on how the past remains present and relevant today.
