Share Your Green-Wood Story

Green-Wood means something different to everyone who passes through its gates. For some, it’s a place of remembrance. For others, a daily walk, a quiet retreat, a connection to the past, or all of these at once.

We’re gathering photographs, written reflections, and small ephemera that speak to the personal relationships people—lot owners, frequent visitors, or passersby—have formed with the Cemetery over time.

What to Submit

You’re invited to share:

  • A personal story (100 words or fewer)
  • A photograph, letter, or marked-up map or brochure
  • A scan or photo of a small, meaningful object

We’re especially interested in including materials from the pre-smartphone era in our living archive, but submissions from all eras are welcome.

You may submit up to five images. Your submission can include a written story, images, or both. What matters isn’t the subject—it’s the instinct to keep it.
