Tranquility Garden: A Modern Choice in Cremation Memorialization

Tranquility Garden features stone, wood, water, and metal: the elements of nature itself. A dramatic, modern work of architecture surrounded by outdoor water elements and serene planted landscapes of bamboo, grasses, and flowering cherry trees. Three glass and steel pavilions surround a tranquil pond in which swim graceful koi and from which rises a silver sky obelisk.

Outdoor granite niches are available in the pavilions’ exterior walls (water side, garden view, or fountain) and perimeter garden walls. In-ground burial sites for cremated bodies are also available in Tranquility’s urn gardens, which surround the pavilions. Several outdoor locations throughout the facility are designated for ritual celebration. Indoor niches are available in clear and translucent glass, four hues of granite (slate green, glacial black, marbled rose, and almond mauve), and handcrafted hardwood with a unique remembrance cabinet for truly unique memorialization.

Hillside IV: A Contemporary Choice in Above-Ground Memorialization

This beautiful structure is a dramatic, modern work of architecture nestled in the slope of a hillside. Cascading shingles of glass sheath the front of the mausoleum, which overlooks the pastoral landscape of Green-Wood. Skylights further unite indoor with outdoor, emerging from the hilltop to blend harmoniously with nineteenth-century memorials. A peaceful indoor waterfall ripples gently over an undulating surface before collecting in a water garden at its base. Reflecting pools offer a contemplative area at the mausoleum’s entryways.

Granite and marble crypts are available for above-ground burial, as well as opaque, clear glass, or hardwood niches for a cremated body in the columbaria.
