Hanami Festival

Rain Date: Thursday, April 21st

Spring is in the air, and it’s the perfect time to celebrate the beauty of the season! Translated from Japanese as “flower viewing,” hanami describes the pure joy of seeing flowering trees as they come into full bloom. Stroll winding paths to admire Green-Wood’s extensive (and colorful!) collection of cherry blossoms.

Along the way there will be music, entertainment, and opportunities to learn more about the Cemetery’s arboretum and wildlife. Enjoy a taste of Japan–sweet and savory treats from our friends at Japan Village in Industry City. For a special treat, We Sake is providing samples of their crisp and smooth Junmai Ginjo style Japanese sake.

Price: $40, and $35 for members.

Before Purchasing Your Tickets, Please Note:

• Attendees must follow ALL instructions and guidance from Cemetery staff and ambassadors. Green-Wood reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who refuses to comply with these guidelines, which are based on CDC, state, and city mandates.
• Tickets are non-refundable and not exchangeable. In case of inclement weather, tickets will ONLY be honored on the rain date Thursday, April 21st.
• There is no on site parking.
• Feeling Sick? Stay home if you are feeling sick or running a fever. We will be happy to credit your ticket(s) for another visit, just email events@green-wood.com prior to the start of the program. Please understand our staffing is limited and we will respond as soon as we can.
