Funds raised through this event will advance these exciting projects. \nAs one of New York City’s most beloved new cultural destinations\, Green-Wood presents a unique trifecta of art\, history and nature. Over a quarter million visitors come each year to stroll Green-Wood’s magnificent 478 acres and experience the abiding tranquility of this historic space. \n  \nOnline ticket sales for this event have ended. If you are interested in getting tickets\, please call (718)210-3073.\n  \nHonorees\nThe DeWitt Clinton Award for Excellence this year honors Jamie Bernstein\, Alexander Bernstein\, and Nina Bernstein Simmons on the occasion of the centennial of the birth of their father\, Leonard Bernstein. Indelibly imprinted with the energy and musicality of their legendary father\, and the theatricality and activism of their mother\, Felicia Cohn Monteleagre\, the three siblings carry the Bernstein spirit and legacy into the twenty-first century. DESCRIPTION:Courtesy of Anna Stypko\nFresh off its SXSW premiere\, the dramatic comedy Wild Nights with Emily stars Molly Shannon as the poet Emily Dickinson. The film was inspired by an article in the New York Times that documented how infrared technologies restored erasures that hid romantic content in Dickinson’s letters. The poet’s persona\, popularized since her death\, was that of a reclusive spinster – a delicate wallflower\, too sensitive for this world. This film explores her passionate\, vivacious side that was covered up for years – most notably Emily’s lifelong romantic relationship with another woman (Susan Ziegler). After Emily died\, a rivalry emerged when her brother’s mistress (Amy Seimetz) along with editor T.W. Higginson (Brett Gelman) published a book of Emily’s poems.
