History Happy Hour: Radicals and Rebels—Honoring Our Ancestors

Tuesday, August 18, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Event Navigation

havemeyer speechThere’s much we can learn from our ancestors: their triumphs, their struggles, and most importantly, how we came to be where we are. Discover the Green-Wood residents whose passions and bold actions left lasting impacts on American history. You’ll hear about abolitionist Captain John Cook, suffragettes Louisine Havemeyer and the Cary sisters; and publisher D. M. Bennett—to name a few.

$5/Free for members. While we can’t actually bring the bar or the drinks to you, we can offer some history on tap! Bring your own beverage–why not try our recommended cocktail of the evening–and raise a glass to the past as we stay connected through our latest series, History Happy Hour.

This History Happy Hour’s suggested drink accompaniment is an Aperol Spritz. On the day of the program, participants will receive a recipe along with a Zoom link and access code.
