History Happy Hour: Decoding the Past—Cemetery Symbols
Tuesday, August 11, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
In this History Happy Hour, we’ll deepdive into the cryptic, and sometimes downright confounding, symbolism found at Green-Wood, and oftentimes, outside of the Cemetery. The focus on three symbols in particular—birds, skulls, and angels—will open your eyes to society’s influence on this bygone tradition.
$5/Free for members. While we can’t actually bring the bar or the drinks to you, we can offer some history on tap! Bring your own beverage–why not try our recommended cocktail of the evening–and raise a glass to the past as we stay connected through our latest series, History Happy Hour.
This History Happy Hour’s suggested drink accompaniment is a Summer Breeze. On the day of the program, participants will receive a recipe along with a Zoom link and access code.
