Please click here a full list of performances and more information about the show.\n\nImagine sitting deep within Green-Wood Cemetery on a beautiful summer’s afternoon when some of its permanent residents begin to appear in the distance\, assemble in front of you\, and one by one divulge their secrets\, their private thoughts\, their regrets and the turmoil that filled their lives. \nAccompanied by songs including “Shall We Gather at the River\,” “Softly and Tenderly” and “In the Gloaming\,” 11 actors tell a story of the fictional town of Spoon River through its residents who have since left this world. Playwright Tom Andolora of Brooklyn College has adapted the classic American work by Edgar Lee Masters for the stage and directs the production as well.  \nIMPORTANT: \n\nFor mature audiences only. Admission is restricted to ages 15 and over.\nNo alcohol or food is permitted in the cemetery.\nPlease arrive at Green-Wood’s main entrance (25th Street and Fifth Avenue) by 3:00 p.m. sharp. All ticket holders will then travel by Green-Wood trolley to the middle of the cemetery\, where the performance will take place.\nAudience members must board the trolley to travel to the site of the play. Anyone who is late will miss the trolley and miss the show.\nChairs and benches are provided for the audience.\nThe performance begins at 3:30 p.m. and lasts one and a half hours with no intermission. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, June 22\, 2011\nJoin The Brooklyn Historical Society for a panel discussion of two of Brooklyn’s historic cemeteries — Green-Wood (which is a National Historic Landmark) and the Evergreens. The panel includes Green-Wood Cemetery President Rich Moylan and Evergreens Cemetery President Paul Grassi\, as well as authors who have written definitive histories of each cemetery — Jeffrey Richman\, author of “Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery: New York’s Buried Treasure”\, and John Rousmaniere\, author of “Green Oasis in Brooklyn: The Evergreens Cemetery 1849-2008”. The museum will remain open until 7pm. This program is open to the public and free with museum admission. Tours last approximately two hours and feature the beauty of  Green-Wood’s grounds\, the Cemetery’s history\, its bird life\, the most  fascinating tales of its permanent residents\, views of Manhattan’s  skyline\, The Green-Wood Historic Fund’s Civil War Project and its  preservation program\, and more. The trolley is heated\, air conditioned\, and enclosed. \nThis will be a Hidden Gems of Green-Wood tour. Click here for more information on Green-Wood’s rotation of three different tours. \nReservations are not required\, but recommended. Click here to purchase advance tickets online. \nGreen-Wood’s Wednesday Trolley tour guide\, Marge Raymond\, fell in love with Green-Wood Cemetery 25 years ago as a birdwatcher and naturalist. She brings to her tours her enthusiasm and passion for  Green-Wood’s famous residents\, its history\, trees and animals. Marge\, a  professional singer\, has been a volunteer since 2002 with The Green-Wood  Historic Fund’s Civil War Project and has helped to staff The Historic  Fund’s information and sales cart since its inception.
