Join musicians\, singers and re-enactors for a chance to hear Civil War melodies and talk with historians well-versed in the stories of the Civil War. We’ll have an 11-piece brass band\, fiddlers and singers on hand for this overture to the Grand Procession. \n8:15 PM GRAND PROCESSION. Led by cavalry\, our procession will wind through our historic grounds and past more than 4\,500 candlelit graves of Civil War veterans\, guarded by uniformed re-enactors and serenaded by musicians and singers. \nBEFORE AND AFTER THE PROCESSION: View our Civil War exhibition “Honoring Their Sacrifice” in the Historic Chapel; visit the Union and Confederate encampments where re-enactors will share historical details and stories of the Civil War. \nTickets are $10 per person or $25 for families (one or two adults and up to four children) in advance\, and $15/$30 at the door. See\, up  close\, two authentic Civil War cannons\, life-sized zinc sculptures of  Union soldiers\, and genuine Civil War uniforms; hear the stories and  tales of the brave men who fought in the Civil War; experience the  extraordinary stories of the patriotism of Green-Wood’s Civil War  veterans. \nIn Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel\, just inside the main Arch at 25th Street and Fifth Avenue. In the crime-ridden NYC of the late 1970s\, he covered the city with the graffiti tag “SAMO.” Twenty-five years old at the height of his career\, Basquiat painted canvases that sell today for more than a million dollars. She brings to her tours her enthusiasm and passion for  Green-Wood’s famous residents\, its history\, trees and animals. Marge\, a  professional singer\, has been a volunteer since 2002 with The Green-Wood  Historic Fund’s Civil War Project and has helped to staff The Historic  Fund’s information and sales cart since its inception.
