DESCRIPTION:Join Vice President of Landscape Joseph Charap for a peek behind the curtain! On this evening walking tour\, Joe will share what it takes to steward this 478-acre landscape with an eye to both its historic character and the demands of a changing climate. From our initiative to expand wildflower meadows to replanting historic allées\, you’ll learn how Joe and his team are doing the work to make sure Green-Wood’s landscape is beautiful and resilient for generations to come.  \n\n\n\nAs Vice President of Landscape\, Joe leads the care and strategic development of Green-Wood’s 478-acres. Overseeing all landscape operations—including arboriculture\, meadow and turf management\, monument restoration\, and historic preservation—he integrates climate-adaptive strategies to enhance biodiversity and sustain Green-Wood’s living collection. Attendees will be checked in by name. \n\n\n\nWhere To Go: Check-in takes place at the Gothic Arch near the Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street (500 25th Street). \n\n\n\nAccessibility & Safety: Walking tour routes cover hilly\, grassy\, and uneven terrain. This tour is not accessible for those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and may be difficult for those with balance or other mobility issues.
