DESCRIPTION:Move over\, big kids! On Tuesday mornings\, it’s toddler time at the Green-House. Bring your little ones to the most fun pop-up play zone in Sunset Park for a morning of open play and sensory exploration. Activity stations will vary for each program. Got a train enthusiast? They’ll love the Cemetery’s toy vehicles! A budding builder? Our foam mausoleum blocks are perfect for tiny architects. In this lecture\, Dr. Eric W. Sanderson uncovers Brooklyn’s historical ecology and shows how its original forests\, wetlands\, and waterways inform today’s challenges related to flooding\, climate resilience\, and environmental justice.  \n\n\n\nThis lecture accompanies Before New York: A Traveling Pop-Up Exhibition\, presented in partnership with the New York Botanical Garden\, on view in the Green-House Atrium from June 11th through July 20th.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick here to register on NYBG’s website.  \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Green-House\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom 6pm to 6:30pm\, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the Before New York exhibition.  \n\n\n\nThe lecture will follow in the Green-House classroom.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nExhibition Funding:  United States Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
